Add extra data to your link to see where your sales are coming from

There are two ways to do this

  • Use Channels
  • Use Extra Data

Use Channels to see which banner is performing best. Or which marketing channel (YouTube, Email, Main Site, Secondary Site) is generating the most sales.

Use Extra Data to see which of your web pages, or specific videos are performing best

How To Use Channels

Adding a Channel

  • From your Affiliate Dashboard, click Promotion > Ad Channels > Add channel
  • Give the channel a name and a channel code
    • For example, if you wanted to track that the click came from your main review site, you could give the channel name: Main Site and the code: mainsite
  • Next add the channel parameter to your affiliate link using &chan=CHANNEL CODE. For example, https://www.yoursite.com/?a_aid=YOURAFFILIATEID&chan=mainsite

Seeing Channels in Reports

  • For Commissions: Go to Reports  > Channel Stats
  • For Clicks: Go to Reports > Raw Clicks > Edit the Default View (Pencil Icon) > Ticks Column ’Channel’

How To Use Extra Data

Adding Extra Data

You can append the &data1 and &data2 parameters to the end of your affiliate link and it will be tracked on your clicks and commission reports.

  • For example, if you wanted to know if the click came from the homepage, you can append to the link &data1=homepage
  • If you wanted to also add that the click came from the banner on your homepage, you could add &data2=banner
  • Here is an example link containing a channel, data1 and data2 parameter: https://www.yoursite.com/?a_aid=YOURAFFILIATEID&chan=mainsite&data1=homepage&data2=banner
